Earth Day on the Bay in San Francisco

Ocean lovers flocked to San Francisco’s Marine Science Institute on Saturday to celebrate Earth Day on the Bay. It’s timely that sharks were highlighted this year – they have recently been in the spotlight here with anti shark finning bill AB 376 moving through the California legislature.

Most visitors seemed to agree that it’s better to ‘Let Sharks Live’ than to have sharks become extinct, depriving future generations of witnessing these majestic creatures. The ocean conservation groups Sea Stewards, Team Fish Finders, Coare and the Marine Science Institute collaborated for the event.
